Many people, including myself, didn’t even want to hear what the hell he had to say. Almost every boy’s mother taught him to never to put his hands on a female, so there was nothing Chris could say to justify his actions. I realized personally growing up, that this theory changed. It changed to “If the bitch puts her hands on you first, then treat that bitch like a man and hit her back.” Wrong or right??! No one knew right away that Rihanna hit Chris first and personally more than half the world didn’t care. Chris hit her and he was wrong.
His sentencing demanded he serve community service and stay some yards away from her. Light slap on the hand? Did he deserve to go to jail? Am I the only person who thinks if Chris was a regular dude in the hood, his ass would’ve been hit with an assault & battery charge as well as a few nights, months, maybe a year? in jail? Yeah, didn’t think so….
Michael Vick’s return to the NFL this week has sparked much controversy, many praising the fact that the NFL has looked past his situation and has granted him a second chance to get his life back on track while others hated the fact that a criminal can return to his professional life. Honestly, who cares? Why doesn’t the man deserve a second chance? Remember the teacher who slept with her student a few years ago, got pregnant, ended up in jail, but later got released and went right back to that CHILD? Although she now has “sex offender” behind her name, im sure if she was a damn good teacher, someone would be bound to hire her (even though whoever would do such a thing would be an idiot especially if they have children of their own). And those two are TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
Not too many people believe Chris’ new song “Changed Man”, given the fact that his apology sounded rehearsed and far from sincere, yet I, myself will give him a second chance. One, Rihanna sure as hell did. The victim herself! Tabloids, gossip columns, and bloggers alike have reported seeing the two together although no pictures have been taken of the two. From personal experience, when you’re “in love” with someone, you will do almost anything to be with that person, fuck what anyone says about it. Parents can try to stop you, your friends will vow to stop speaking to you, dammit, law enforcements just might get involved, but if you are in love with someone- “what God has put together, let no man put asunder” right??
Two, let them learn for themselves the consequences they face if disobeying court orders. If the rumors are true, let Chris dance his ass to a jail somewhere where he won’t see shit but “wall to wall”. I’ve always heard and have been told it myself growing up, that a hard head makes a soft ass. I don’t think the law is something to play with, as corrupt as it is. The shit we see on television today (Sean Bell shooting, Amadou Diallo incident in 1996) constantly show police brutality directed toward minorities for petty shit. Do you think the court system is afraid to lock up Chris Brown’s young ass because he has money??? No… don’t think so. Chris is just like all the other victims = BLACK.
The third and main reason I’ll forgive Chris; Jesus forgave us so who are we not to forgive another. ‘Nough said…. I’m not condoning any of Chris’ actions but think about the things you say and do, even THINK, every day and ask yourself would Jesus allow it???
